Article about the FAA banning Chantix for Pilots & Air Traffic Controllers

Posted May 22nd, 2008 by Chris

I read a very interesting article today about the FAA ( Federal Aviation Administration) banning the use of Chantix by its pilots and air traffic controllers due to the negative side effects known to occur with this stop-smoking drug, including suicidal tendencies, mood swings, loss of consciousness, seizures and it has also been shown to cause auto accidents. Yet another reason, someone wanting to quit smoking should look to natural therapies instead.

Here is my recommendation for a good alternative to poisionous drugs for help quitting smoking;

What really disgusted me was the quote from one of Pfizer’s medical doctors in the article saying that because smoking is such a big problem and after doing a risk-benefit analysis, the advantage still falls toward the benefit. Don’t think he could say anything else and keep his job at Pfizer could he !!
