lose fat, whether I wanted to do it quickly or simply as a long term goal for
my life. Drugs are man made chemicals that introduce toxins into our bodies
and, while some may have immediate fat loss effects, in the long run you do

Humans in general are lazy creatures and typically look for a quick fix. If you
have been looking at the fat on your body and longing to get rid of it you may

that you are carrying around. Most times it is due to poor eating habits

It’s Winter now, even in Florida, would you believe we have been down in the 40’s a couple nights recently.

Anyway, no matter what season of the year we still must be aware of consuming enough antioxidants to maintain our health.

Here is a list of 7 antioxidant foods that are available, even if only in canned form, during the Winter months;

1. Artichoke Hearts – also good for your liver, low in calories ( must watch these especially in the winter months when we are usually a little less physically active), also high in vitamins and minerals

2. Beans – high in antioxidants as well as fiber and protein

3. Cranberries – full of antioxidants, immune-boosters and may also prevent diseases such as heart disease as well as cancer

4. Pecans – naturally sweet so may curb your sugar cravings also

5. Prunes – good against cholesterol as well as fighting free radicals

6. Red Delicious or Granny Smith Apples – eat the skin too

7. Cloves – also known to have anti-inflammatory qualities

Many in our population may not even be aware that there are excellent doctors in our country who favor using alternative methods for healing us. They focus more on monitoring our diets, adding nutritional supplements and recommending beneficial lifestyle changes instead of depending on dangerous pharmaceuticals.

From the research I have done it has become apparent to me that our bodies are terrific self-healers and for that which we cannot heal ourselves, nature has tremendous resources that can assist.

Our internal healing system is our immune system. It is when the immune system has been compromised that we become ill. Why then would we attack a compromised immune system with man-made chemicals with the expectation of getting better?

Traditional doctors are wined and dined by Big Pharma in order to promote their drugs which the doctors then prescribe to you and me.

Many well known people have recently passed away after conventional medicine totally failed them. This should ring alarm bells for you all and make you realize that our conventional medical system is a total failure and while it sucks every dollar out of your wallet, it totally fails to step up to the plate and provide the healing it claims to offer.

My experience with conventional doctors is to immediately prescribe some pill to take to try to deal with the problem. Basically they deal with the symptoms only and not the cause.

If they would only understand what caused the problem in the first place, which usually is diet or lifestyle, then perhaps they could recommend changes in these things and actually cure more of their patients.

Sadly it is not financially beneficial to them to go this route so it is highly unlikely that this will ever happen. Doctors earn money from the pharmaceutical companies for prescribing drugs to you and I and earn nothing if you and I learn to modify our diet and/ or lifestyle and in so doing heal ourselves.

Realize that all the medical associations are in business to serve their members so, for example, the American Heart Association has no interest in curing heart disease, because if they did that then all of the Cardiologists who are their members would be out of business and so would they.

This premise stands also for the American Cancer Society and so on and so on. I trust you get the point.

Do yourself a favor and check into alternative therapies for whatever ails you or your loved ones.

I look forward to the day when the population wakes up and realizes the con going on with conventional medicine and starts to look for alternative ways to maintain their health and heal themselves if and when they get sick.

I have been happily and confidently thinking that if I pick up a product and it has the label saying ” No Trans Fat” that it is a superior product to one that does not have that type of labeling. Well. like with so many of the other lies we are told about our food supply, here comes yet another.

There are many nutrients our bodies need on a daily basis and my feeling is that our food supply has become so modified that we just cannot rely on it to provide us with all that we need anymore. In addition, life has become so hectic for everyone that many don’t have the ability to make sure that they’re consuming the right foods in the right quantities in order to get the proper nutrition to our bodies.

One of the main things that I think we probably all fall short on consuming is enough water, Water is essential to a healthy body. It helps to flush out toxins and keeps the body hydrated as well. How many times have you been told that you need to consume 8 glasses of water daily? Well, to put your mind at ease a little, you can also get some of this requirement from foods such as watermelon.

The next group of nutrients that our bodies need is fats and carbohydrates. These provide us with our energy for when we exercise or do any strenuous activity or even for simply walking, standing etc. You need to be careful of the intake of fats and carbohydrates as if consumed in excess guess where they go…onto your body and an overweight body is unhealthy.

In addition to regularly hydrating our bodies and consuming fats and carbohydrates for energy, we also need proteins as they provide amino acids to help build muscle as well as many others important tasks in our bodies. You can get your protein from foods such as egg, cheese and meat products.

Humans also need to have daily intake of vitamins and minerals. We get these from fruits, vegetables, milk, and bread. It is obviously difficult to know if you are receiving all the nutrients that your body needs which is probably why the supplement market is so immense. If you are going to take supplements, I would highly recommend that you do not go cheap. Make sure you research and buy quality products. I would recommend you buy organic where possible.
