They will then coat your teeth in light-activated teeth whitening solution, which can be activated either by laser or by natural light.

This procedure can then be repeated two or three times in the same session depending on how much whiter you wish your teeth to appear. After the procedure, your teeth may feel slightly sensitive but this should not be a painful sensation. The results of the process are usually immediately obvious.

The whitening solution used in-surgery is much stronger than the solution provided in at-home whitening kits as the high concentration of peroxide in the solution could be dangerous when not used correctly. Unfortunately, generic teeth-whitening kits sold in stores or online may contain potentially dangerous concentrations of peroxide; when used incorrectly, these levels may cause serious damage to your lips, gums or skin.

It is tempting to take a hot bath when the weather is cold, but it has been found that hot baths are not good for the skin, as they affect the natural lipid barriers of the skin and can lead to the loss of even more moisture than normal. Warm baths are far better for you as is cutting the time spent in the water. Adding bicarbonate of soda or oats to the water can be beneficial for dry skin.
